Heaven~ Sweeter Every Day

Grandpa Jack Bohn.  One of the wisest men I knew.

Danielle Christine, my sweet sister, whom I cannot wait to see again. This picture was taking two weeks before she passed away.

Another sweet pic of my sister.

Dolling up her grave site with beautiful flowers on her 9th birthday in heaven. So happy I was able to be there to be apart of it. :)

I am sure that every one of us has suffered a loss.  A family member, a friend, a friends family member, or even someone that relates to a personal loss; they all pretty much hit close to home.  After losing my sister nine and a half years ago, and losing my grandpa two years ago, I have definitely changed.  Life is more precious to me, family time is more precious to me, others lives are more precious to me.  Time is more precious to me.  Heaven is so much sweeter.

As I was studying for my Sunday School Class, I came to thinking about what God really did for me.  How much He sacrificed for me.  Yet, we get angry with Him for taking the people we love.  So often God gets blamed, and what He did for us, isn't taken into consideration.

You know, God wants YOU to talk to HIM the same way that
you talk to your MOM and DAD, the same what you talk
to your FRIENDS, AUNTS, UNCLES, BROTHERS and
SISTERS.  He wants to feel that important to YOU.
He deserves to feel that important to you.
God is always here for you.
He was here for you  two thousand years ago,
When He DIED for YOU.
He loves you MORE than ANYTHING.
Do you know that when He was suffering,
When he was being beaten, blasphemed and scorned
He was thinking about YOU?
Not you and your friends as a whole,
but He was thinking only about YOU!
He went through literal Hell for you.
He wants to give you a gift.
His gift to you is Heaven.
Think about this,
Your only alternative to heaven, is hell.
When you die,
and your family buries or cremates you,
you DON'T just stay in the ground.
You either go to Heaven,
or you go to Hell.
It is your choice.
God is all about letting you choose your eternity.
But you need to keep in mind that He paid the price
of Hell for you.
He is giving Heaven to you as a GIFT!
To Get out of Hell, you only need to accept His gift.
You have to realize that you are not perfect!
Romans 3:23 states
"For all have sinned, and come short
of the glory of God"
You ARE a sinner.
It is inevitable.
Everyone has done something wrong.
No matter how big or little that wrong was
it is still a sin.
For that sin, there is a penalty.
Just like there was a penalty to lying,
cheating, deceiving, disrespecting,
or disobeying when we were young.
Our penalty for our sin is death,
in Hell.  Romans 6:23a says
"For the wages of sin is death;"
A wage is a payment.  Just like you
get paid for working, our payment
for sin is death in hell.
But, God gives us a way out.
Romans 5:8- "BUT GOD. commendeth
his love toward us, in that, while we
were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
I love that "But God".
"Commendeth" means showed.
Even though we are sinners,
even though we hurt God,
and take advantage of Him as
much as we do, (this is the
amazing part)
HE STILL DIED FOR US!
When God died, He didn't stay dead.
He ROSE again the third day.
If God didn't raise from the dead,
There would be no point in me
typing this all out.
There wouldn't be a gift from Jesus.
In God rising again,
lifted the veil to Heaven for us.
Romans 6:23b says
"but the gift of God is eternal life
through Jesus Christ our Lord."
God's gift to us is eternal life.
He wants us to be in Heaven with
Him on day.
What is a gift?
A gift is something given
without expecting anything in return.
If it was your birthday, and I had a gift for you,
but told you that before I gave you that gift,
you needed to wash my car; it wouldn't be a gift.
Why? Because you would be working for it.
Now, if I were handing you a gift,
what would you have to do for that gift to be yours?
Take it-right?
Well, that is what God wants you to do.
He is presenting His gift to you, right now
through this post.  He wants to know if you will accept it.
In Romans 10:13 it says
"For whosoever shall call
upon the name of the Lord
Shall be Saved."
It really is that simple.
People make salvation a lot more
complicated than it really is.
To accept Gods' gift you need to ask.
It definitely isn't in the words that you say,
but it is really believing in your heart.
Whether you ask Him out loud, in a simple prayer,
or in your heart, to God.  He knows.
Accepting Him as YOUR Saviour,
is a once in a lifetime thing.
It isn't something that you have to do everyday.
Once you are saved, you are ALWAYS saved.
After your saved, no matter how much wrong you do,
no matter how wrong that wrong is, no one can
take your salvation away-Praise the Lord for that!
Accepting Jesus as your Saviour
is trusting that He will take you to Heaven
when you die.
This is the prayer that I prayed when I accepted
His gift, only 3 years ago.
"Dear Jesus, I know I am a sinner.
God, without You, I would die today,
and go to Hell. Today, I am trusting
You and You alone, to take me to Heaven
when I die.  Thank you for saving me.
Amen"

If through this post, you accepted Christ,
please, let me know.  I would love to rejoice
with you.
Thank you, and have an enjoyable Sunday!
   Much love, Amber

The IMPACT of Jesus.

If one really thinks about it, the impact of Jesus is INCREDIBLE! To most people, I am stating the obvious, but I still absolutely LOVE the subject!  Jesus has not only had an impact in my life, and in the lives of my family and friends around me, but He has had an impact in/on the entire world!  No matter where we are "at" in the world, God is still working and making an impact over our world.  To be honest, I think He is trying to get our attention.   The question is, are we willing to give Him our attention?

When Jesus came to earth, He knew why He was coming.  He knew something needed to be done, and that He was the only man Who could do it.  God sacrificed His Son for each and every one of us.  Can you imaging watching your son or daughter getting blasphemed, beaten, scorned... God had all of the power to strike those who did so, dead, yet, He didn't.  It wasn't because He was unfeeling God. It wasn't because He didn't love His Son.. It was because God loved the people, that were hurting His Son.  He knew Jesus would be an example, and make the Impact on the world; not just then, but Jesus would make an impact for ETERNITY.(Isaiah53) ( I know this is kind of off the subject, and probably one I will talk about more in a different post, but just because Jesus died on the cross for us, so that we can go to Heaven, doesn't mean we can take advantage of that.  I know that we are sinners, and that we will continually sin, but we can't use the excuse that "our sins are covered" so that we can sin.)

Jesus impacted the world by dying for it.  I can't imagine dying for someone who did me wrong.(Isaiah 55:8)  Yet, Jesus, had the heart to do it.  He looked past every person, every action, and saw them through His Father's eyes.  What love! When Jesus came to earth for 33 days, He knew that He would not only be blasphemed then, but even after He returned to Heaven.  Even today, there are people whom blame God, despise and reject Him. Look at the atheists, the Muslims, the Buddhists, the Hindu. I can't imagine my life without Christ, and yet there are so many people who are without Him.  That's why we should be so fervent, in telling others about Him.

We must remember that God can use you to impact those around us.  He wants to use you. He wants to use all of us, we just need to let Him.  He may not have you die on the cross, like He did His Son, but God may bring things into your life, that you don't understand.  Always remember that He does things for a reason, whether it's to bring you closer to Him, or others closer to Him.  We must be a living example of Him. NO, we won't always do whats right, but that doesn't mean we can't strive to do what HE wants us to do.  I others to see Christ through me.  I want them to be able to see that He is the center of my life and marriage.  God is more than willing to make an impact in your life, are you willing to let Him?

Craving God

Has there ever been a time in your life, where you just craved to be with God?  Man, I tell you what, there are times, when all I want to do is escape everyone and everything around me, and go to Him, especially when I don't know where else to go. When I am completely overwhelmed, and just want to break down and quit, I have no one else to go to, and my husband is at work.  I don't want to talk to any other person except for Christ. Because ultimately, He is the only one Who can help me.
I absolutely love going to old Hymns, and just reading the words, or sing my heart out to songs, that I know on the top of my head.  One of my favorites is:
"Once in the Stillness, Of a late midnight hour, I felt the presence of the Lord's saving Power. I fell on my knees and cried to Him there, 'Oh Merciful, Saviour, hear my lost sinners prayers'
And every hour of every day, and every moment, in every way, I'm leaning on Jesus, He's the Rock of my soul, I'm singing His praises, wherever I go.
I'll never forget that, sweet night on my knees, the joy of that hour has never left me; It's life's sweetest memories that time can't erase, I'm saved by His Mercy and redeemed by His grace!"
The words to that song, gives me goosebumps almost every time that I hear it, or even just think about the words!  I am so thankful that I have a God that I can crave. I may not understand everything that He sends our way, but I fully trust in His care.  I know He won't give me anything that I can't handle.  He has brought me through so much already, how can I not trust Him to bring me through, what ever else He may have in store for our family!  Always remember, the Lord is good!!

All things Wedding!

We had so much fun at our wedding!  Words cannot describe.  Everyone was such an amazing help, and a huge blessing!  As you can see, our photographer was amazing too!  This was her very first wedding, and you wouldn't even know! From the pre-wedding jitters, to the post-wedding exhaustion, I honestly wouldn't change a thing!  Yes, we got stressed before, when we weren't sure how certain things were going to happen, or when people backed out, who would replace them, but in the end, it was perfect!  God does things for a reason, and I am so glad that He did! Thank you to all for the prayers, hard work, and help that was given.  Thank you notes will be out soon! (Yes, I'm still working on them, lol) Always remember, that the Lord is good!

Well, We did it!  On Saturday, Casey and I exchanged vows and became one. :)  It was beautiful, and a Day I will never forget! It was the day I had dreamed of since I was little, and every bit of that dream came true. : )
I am so thankful that God brought Casey into my life.  God's timing is ALWAYS perfect, and He knows EXACTLY what He is doing.  I am  so happy that I gave my life to Him so long ago!
